During the Six-Day War, Israeli Air Force jets and Navy torpedo boats attacked the USS Liberty, a US Navy signals intelligence ship in international waters off the Sinai Peninsula.
34 US sailors killed, 171 wounded
The US Navy Court of Inquiry concluded the attack was a case of " identity."
