Did you know that Yahuah made dinosaurs? It's true! He made them on the same day He made people!
Genesis 1:24-25
"Elohim said, 'Let the earth bring forth living creatures.' And Elohim made the beasts of the earth."
Dinosaurs were "beasts of the earth" - land animals. Yahuah made them on Day 6 of Creation!
* FUN FACT! *
The Bible uses a special word for big creatures: TANNIYN (tan-NEEN). This word means "dragon" or "big reptile." The Bible mentions this word 28 times!
Did You Know?
When Yahuah finished making everything, He said it was "very good!" That means dinosaurs were very good too!

Think about your favorite dinosaur. Yahuah made that dinosaur! He made big ones and small ones. He made ones with long necks and ones with sharp teeth. He made them all!

Some people say dinosaurs lived millions of years before people. But the Bible says something different!
Genesis 2:19
"Yahuah brought all the animals to Adam to see what he would call them."
Adam named ALL the animals - including dinosaurs! If dinosaurs died before Adam, he couldn't name them!
* AMAZING! *
At first, ALL animals ate plants - even T-Rex! The Bible says Yahuah gave "every green plant for food" to all the animals. Sharp teeth don't mean they ate meat. Pandas have sharp teeth and they eat bamboo!
Did You Know?
People all over the world have stories about dragons! China, Europe, Africa - everywhere! That's because people really did see dinosaurs. They called them "dragons."

LESSON 3: BEHEMOTH - A BIG DINOSAUR IN THE BIBLE!

The Bible talks about a HUGE animal called Behemoth! Yahuah described this animal to a man named Job.
Job 40:15-17
"Look at the behemoth, which I made along with you. He moves his tail like a cedar tree!"
* WOW! *
A cedar tree is HUGE - the trunk can be as wide as a car! Some people say Behemoth was an elephant or hippo. But elephants have skinny tails like ropes, and hippos have tiny tails. Only a dinosaur like Brachiosaurus had a tail "like a cedar"!
What Was Behemoth?
- Tail "like a cedar tree" - HUGE!
- Ate grass like a cow
- The biggest land animal Yahuah made
- Made at the same time as Job (a person!)
This sounds just like a big sauropod dinosaur!
REFLECT - Think About It!
How big was Behemoth's tail? As big as a tree trunk! Can you stretch your arms out wide? Behemoth's tail was even bigger than that!

LESSON 4: LEVIATHAN - THE DRAGON!

The Bible tells us about another amazing creature - Leviathan! This was a dragon that lived in the sea!
Job 41:19-21
"Out of his mouth go burning lights! Sparks of fire shoot out! Smoke comes from his nose!"
* A FIRE-BREATHING DRAGON! *
Yes, the Bible describes a creature that breathed FIRE! Is this possible? There's a tiny bug called the bombardier beetle that shoots boiling hot spray (212 degrees!) at its enemies. If a little bug can do that, Yahuah could make a big dragon that breathes fire!
What Was Leviathan Like?
- Had strong armor (scales)
- Breathed fire and smoke!
- Left a glowing path in the water
- Was very, very scary!

Dragons appear in stories from ALL over the world! China, Europe, Africa - everywhere! Why? Because people really saw them! They were real!

Did you know the word "dinosaur" is a NEW word? It was made up in 1841! Before that, people called these animals DRAGONS!
* SAME ANIMAL, DIFFERENT NAME! *
Dragons = Dinosaurs! They're the same thing! So when you hear old stories about dragons, those were really stories about dinosaurs!
Isaiah 27:1
"In that day Yahuah will slay the dragon that is in the sea."
People Who Saw Dragons!
- Alexander the Great's soldiers saw a dragon!
- People in England wrote about dragons in 793 AD!
- Chinese people have dragon stories for thousands of years!
All these people saw dinosaurs - they just called them dragons!

Next time you see a dragon in a story, remember - those were REAL animals! People really saw them!

LESSON 6: DINOSAURS ON NOAH'S ARK

Did Noah take dinosaurs on the Ark? YES!
Genesis 6:19
"You shall bring two of every living thing into the ark."
Two of EVERY kind - that includes dinosaurs!
* BUT HOW DID THEY FIT? *
- Most dinosaurs were small - about the size of a sheep!
- Noah took YOUNG dinosaurs, not old giant ones!
- The Ark was HUGE - bigger than a football field!
There was plenty of room!
The Flood Made Fossils!
When the big Flood came, many dinosaurs died and got buried in mud. That's why we find dinosaur bones (fossils) today! The Flood buried them quickly.
* AMAZING DISCOVERY! *
Scientists found SOFT TISSUE in dinosaur bones! Blood vessels and cells were still there! This shows dinosaurs didn't die millions of years ago - they died more recently, just like the Bible says!

If dinosaurs were on Noah's Ark, why don't we see them today?
What Happened After the Flood?
- The world changed - it got colder (Ice Age!)
- There was less food for big animals
- People hunted the dangerous ones
- Slowly, dinosaurs died out
This is called extinction. Many animals have gone extinct - like dodo birds and woolly mammoths. Dinosaurs went extinct too.
* DRAGON SLAYERS! *
Have you heard stories about heroes who killed dragons? Like St. George? These might be TRUE stories about people hunting the last dinosaurs!

Job lived AFTER the Flood. He saw Behemoth! Dinosaurs lived after the Flood too!

Many animals have gone extinct. Can you think of any? (Like the dodo bird?) Dinosaurs went extinct the same way!
