1What is Torah?

Torah is a special word! It means Yahuah's instructions for how to live!

Psalm 119:97
"Oh how I love your Torah! It is my meditation all the day."

Torah is Like a Gift!

Imagine if your parents gave you a special book that told you how to be happy and stay safe. That's what Torah is! Yahuah gave us instructions because He LOVES us!

The word "Torah" doesn't mean "rules that are boring." It means "instruction" or "teaching" - like when someone helps you learn something good!

โค๏ธ Yahuah Loves You!

Yahuah didn't give Torah to make us sad. He gave it because He wants us to be blessed and happy!

Let's Answer Some Questions!

1. What does Torah mean?

2. Why did Yahuah give us Torah?

Yahuah gave us a special day to REST and spend time with Him! It's called the Sabbath!

Exodus 20:8
"Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy."

When is Sabbath?

Sabbath starts when the sun goes down on Friday and lasts until the sun goes down on Saturday!

What We Do on Sabbath

Isaiah 58:13 calls the Sabbath a "DELIGHT"! That means it should be FUN and HAPPY - not boring!

๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ Light candles โ†’ ๐Ÿž Special bread โ†’ ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘งโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆ Family time โ†’ ๐Ÿ“– Bible stories โ†’ ๐Ÿ˜Š JOY!

Yahuah tells us what foods are good for our bodies! Some foods are "clean" and some are "unclean."

Leviticus 11:44
"You shall be holy; for I am holy."

Clean Animals We Can Eat

Unclean Animals - Not Food for Us

Yahuah designed our bodies! He knows which foods are BEST for us! Following His food instructions keeps us healthy!

"The feasts of Yahuah... these are My feasts."

Some of Yahuah's Feasts

5Loving Yahuah with Our Actions

When we love someone, we show it by what we DO! Yahusha said...

John 14:15
"If you love Me, keep My commandments."

Ways We Show Love to Yahuah

โค๏ธ Love = Obedience!

We don't follow Torah to EARN Yahuah's love - He already loves us! We follow Torah to SHOW our love back to Him!

1 John 5:3
"For this is the love of Elohim, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome."

When you obey your parents because you love them, it makes everyone happy! Same with Yahuah - when we obey Him because we love Him, we're blessed!
