Look up at the night sky. What do you see? Stars! There are so many stars! Yahuah made all of them.
Some stars are big. Some stars are small. Some stars look bright. Some stars look dim. But Yahuah knows each one!
The Bible says Yahuah calls each star by name. That is amazing! Our Elohim is so great!
1. What is the main idea of this story?
2. What does Yahuah call each star?
3. Are all stars the same? How are they different?
Read this short paragraph and circle the main idea:
Long ago, there was a giant named Goliath. He was very tall and very mean. He made fun of Yahuah's people.
There was also a young boy named David. He was small but very brave. David loved Yahuah with all his heart.
David said, "I will fight the giant!" The people were scared for him. But David trusted Yahuah.
What happened? David used a sling and a stone. Yahuah helped David win! The giant fell down.
David was brave because he trusted in Yahuah.
| Character | What are they like? | What did they do? |
|---|---|---|
| Goliath | ||
| David |
1. Who was the giant?
2. Why was David brave?
3. What can you learn from David?
Yahuah told Jonah to go to a big city called Nineveh. But Jonah did not want to go. He got on a boat and sailed far away.
Then a big storm came! The waves were huge. The men on the boat were scared.
Jonah knew the storm was because of him. He jumped into the water. A big fish swallowed Jonah!
Jonah was inside the fish for three days. There, he prayed to Yahuah. Then the fish spit Jonah out onto dry land.
This time, Jonah went where Yahuah told him to go!
This story has many settings! Where did Jonah go? Circle all the places:
1. Where did Yahuah want Jonah to go?
2. Where did Jonah go instead?
3. How long was Jonah inside the fish?
Draw Jonah inside the big fish!
First, Yahuah made light. He called it Day.
Next, He made the sky and the water.
Then, He made dry land, grass, and trees.
After that, He made the sun, moon, and stars.
Next, He made fish and birds.
Then, He made animals and people.
Last, Yahuah rested on the seventh day. This is the Sabbath!
Number these events 1, 2, 3, 4 to show the order they happened:
Yahuah made people
Yahuah made light
Yahuah rested
1. What did Yahuah make FIRST?
2. What did Yahuah do LAST?
3. What day did Yahuah rest?
Daniel loved Yahuah very much. He prayed to Yahuah three times every day.
Some bad men did not like Daniel. They made a law that said no one could pray to Yahuah. But Daniel kept praying anyway!
The bad men caught Daniel praying. The king was sad, but he had to follow the law. Daniel was thrown into a den full of hungry lions!
What do you think will happen next?
Why do you think that?
Daniel spent all night with the lions. But Yahuah sent an angel to shut the lions' mouths! The lions did not hurt Daniel at all.
In the morning, the king was so happy! He said, "Daniel's Elohim is the living Elohim!"
1. Was your prediction right?
2. How did Yahuah protect Daniel?
3. What did the king learn?
Long ago, all people spoke the same language. They could all understand each other.
The people got together and said, "Let us build a tower up to the sky! We will make a name for ourselves!"
But this made Yahuah sad. The people were being proud. They forgot about Yahuah.
So Yahuah mixed up their words. Now they spoke different languages! Because they could not understand each other, they stopped building.
The people went out to live in different places all over the earth.
| Cause (Why?) | Effect (What happened?) |
|---|---|
| The people were proud. | So _________________ |
| Yahuah mixed up their words. | So they _________________ |
| They couldn't understand each other. | So they _________________ |
1. Why did the people want to build a tower?
2. What happened BECAUSE Yahuah mixed up their words?
Adam and Eve had two sons. Both were brothers. Both brought gifts to Yahuah.
But they were different! Abel was a shepherd. He took care of sheep. Cain was a farmer. He grew plants.
Abel brought his best sheep to Yahuah. Yahuah was happy with Abel's gift.
Cain brought some fruit. But he did not give his best. Yahuah was not happy with Cain's gift.
This made Cain angry. Yahuah told Cain to do what is right. But Cain did not listen.
| Abel | Both | Cain |
|---|---|---|
|
- Was a shepherd - Gave his best - Yahuah was happy |
- Were brothers - Brought gifts - ____________ |
- Was a farmer - Did not give best - ____________ |
1. How were Cain and Abel the SAME?
2. How were their gifts DIFFERENT?
3. What lesson can we learn?
Many years ago, people forgot about Yahuah. They did bad things. Yahuah was grieved—He felt very sad in His heart.
But Noah was different! Noah was righteous—he did what was right. He loved Yahuah.
Yahuah told Noah to build a huge boat called an ark. The ark was enormous—bigger than a house!
Noah brought many animals into the ark. Two of each kind went in. Then Yahuah sent a great flood. Water covered everything!
But Noah and his family were safe inside the ark.
Look at the story to figure out what these words mean:
grieved = "He felt very sad in His heart"
So grieved means:
righteous = "he did what was right"
So righteous means:
enormous = "bigger than a house"
So enormous means:
1. Why was Yahuah sad (grieved)?
2. Why was Noah different from other people?
One day, a man was walking down a road. Bad men hurt him and took his things. They left him on the ground.
A priest walked by. He saw the hurt man but did not stop. He walked on the other side of the road.
Then another man came. He also walked by without helping.
Then a Samaritan came. He stopped! He helped the hurt man. He cleaned his wounds. He put him on his donkey. He took him to an inn and paid for him to stay.
Yahusha asked, "Who was a good neighbor?" The answer was clear—the one who helped!
