About This Workbook

Did you know Yahuah has special days He wants us to celebrate with Him? These are called feasts or appointed times!

In this workbook, you will learn about:

Lesson 1: Yahuah Has Special Days!

Do you have special days in your family? Maybe birthdays or holidays when everyone gets together?

Well, Yahuah (God) has special days too! He made them for His whole family to celebrate together. These special days are called "feasts" or "appointed times."

The Hebrew word for these special times is "moed" (say it: mo-ED). It means "a meeting time with Yahuah!"

Leviticus 23:2 - "These are My feasts. They are holy meetings."

The Seven Feasts

Yahuah gave us SEVEN special feast days in the Bible! Let's learn their names:

SPRING FEASTS (Springtime!)

1. Passover - Remember when Yahuah saved His people!
2. Unleavened Bread - Eat special flat bread for 7 days!
3. Firstfruits - Thank Yahuah for the first crops!
4. Shavuot (Pentecost) - Celebrate getting Yahuah's Word!

FALL FEASTS (Autumn!)

5. Trumpets - Wake up! Blow the shofar (ram's horn)!
6. Day of Atonement - A special day to say sorry to Yahuah
7. Tabernacles - Camp out and have fun for a week!

Fun Fact! These feasts belong to YAHUAH, not just one group of people. Everyone in His family can celebrate them!

True or False

1. Yahuah has special celebration days for His family.

2. There are TEN feasts in the Bible.

Matching Game!

Draw a line to match:

Lesson 2: Passover - The Lamb Saves!

The Story of Passover

Long, long ago, Yahuah's people were slaves in Egypt. They had to work SO hard! They cried out to Yahuah for help.

Yahuah sent Moses to tell Pharaoh: "Let My people go!" But Pharaoh said NO!

So Yahuah sent scary things called plagues. After the last plague, Pharaoh finally let them go!

On that special night, Yahuah told each family to put lamb's blood on their door. When the angel saw the blood, he would PASS OVER that house and keep them safe!

Exodus 12:13 - "When I see the blood, I will pass over you."
Yahusha Connection! Yahusha is called "the Lamb of God"! Just like the lamb's blood saved the families in Egypt, Yahusha's blood saves US from sin!

True or False

1. The people in Egypt put lamb's blood on their doors.

2. Yahusha is called the Lamb of God.

Fill in the Blanks

Lesson 3: Unleavened Bread - No Puffy Bread!

After Passover comes a week of eating special bread! This bread has no yeast in it, so it's flat like a cracker.

Why flat bread? Because when the Israelites left Egypt, they were in such a hurry! They didn't have time to wait for puffy bread to rise.

For seven days, we eat this flat bread called matzah (say: MAT-zah)!

Exodus 12:15 - "Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread."
Did You Know? In the Bible, yeast (the stuff that makes bread puffy) sometimes represents sin. Eating flat bread reminds us to get rid of sin in our lives!

True or False

1. Unleavened bread is flat like a cracker.

2. We eat special bread for THREE days.

Fill in the Blanks

Lesson 4: Trumpets - Wake Up!

In the fall, there's a special day called Yom Teruah - the Day of Trumpets!

On this day, we blow a shofar (say: sho-FAR). A shofar is made from a ram's horn and makes a LOUD sound!

BLAAAST! The trumpet says: "WAKE UP! Pay attention! The King is coming!"

Leviticus 23:24 - "In the seventh month, on the first day... you shall have a memorial of blowing of trumpets."
Yahusha Connection! When Yahusha comes back one day, there will be a LOUD trumpet blast! Everyone will know He's coming!

Lesson 5: Tabernacles - Camping with Yahuah!

The last big feast of the year is Sukkot (say: soo-COAT) - the Feast of Tabernacles!

For seven days, people build little huts or booths and live in them! It's like camping!

Why? To remember when Yahuah's people lived in tents in the wilderness after leaving Egypt. Yahuah took care of them the whole time!

It's also a time to say THANK YOU to Yahuah for the harvest - all the food He provided!

Leviticus 23:42 - "You shall dwell in booths for seven days."
Fun Fact! The little huts or booths are called "sukkahs." People decorate them with branches, leaves, and fruit! Some people even eat their meals inside them!
