What You'll Learn

1Meet Daniel

Daniel was a teenager (probably around 15-17 years old) when he was taken captive from Jerusalem to Babylon around 605 BC. Even though he was a prisoner in a foreign land, he stayed faithful to Yahuah!

Key Facts About Daniel:

Daniel 2:28 — "But there is an Elah in heaven that reveals secrets, and makes known to king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days."
Why Daniel Matters: Daniel contains the most detailed prophecies in the Bible. These predictions were written hundreds of years before they happened — proof that Yahuah knows the future!

Fill in the Blanks:

1. Daniel was taken captive to __________ around 605 BC.

2. Daniel wrote both historical stories and __________.

3. Daniel's prophecies prove that __________ knows the future.

RECALL (Close the book!)

Write 3 facts about Daniel from memory:

Memory Verse: Daniel 2:28

"There is an Elah in heaven that reveals secrets."

RESPOND This Week:

2The King's Dream: A Giant Statue

King Nebuchadnezzar had a troubling dream but couldn't remember it! He demanded his wise men tell him both the dream AND what it meant. Impossible, right? But Daniel prayed, and Yahuah revealed everything!

THE GREAT STATUE

Body PartMetalKingdom
HeadGoldBabylon
Chest & ArmsSilverMedo-Persia
Belly & ThighsBronzeGreece
LegsIronRome
FeetIron & ClayDivided Nations
Daniel 2:38-40 — "You are this head of gold. And after you shall arise another kingdom inferior to you, and another third kingdom of bronze... And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron."
Notice: The metals get less valuable (gold → silver → bronze → iron) but STRONGER. The kingdoms became less glorious but more powerful militarily!

Multiple Choice:

What kingdom was represented by the head of gold?

Fill in the Blanks:

1. The chest and arms were made of __________.

2. The legs of iron represented __________.

3. Yahuah revealed the dream to __________.

RECALL (Close the book!)

List the 5 parts of the statue and what kingdoms they represent:

TEACH-BACK Challenge

Draw the statue and explain it to someone!

Who did you teach? Date:

Memory Verse: Daniel 2:44

"The Elah of heaven shall set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed."

3The Prophecy Came True!

Here's the amazing part: Daniel wrote this prophecy around 550 BC, and every kingdom happened exactly as predicted!

HISTORICAL FULFILLMENT

KingdomDatesHow Long After Daniel?
Babylon (Gold)605-539 BCAlready ruling
Medo-Persia (Silver)539-331 BC~11 years later
Greece (Bronze)331-168 BC~220 years later
Rome (Iron)168 BC-476 AD~380 years later
Think About This: Daniel predicted the rise and fall of empires that wouldn't even exist for hundreds of years! Only Yahuah could know this!

What About the Stone?

Daniel 2:34-35 — "A stone was cut out without hands, which struck the image on its feet... and the stone that struck the image became a great mountain and filled the whole earth."

The Stone = Yahuah's Kingdom!

True or False:

RECALL (Close the book!)

What does the stone represent? Why is this prophecy proof that Yahuah is real?

RESPOND This Week:

4Four Beasts from the Sea (Daniel 7)

Years later, Daniel had his own vision. Instead of a beautiful statue, he saw four scary beasts! Same prophecy, different perspective.

THE FOUR BEASTS

BeastDescriptionKingdom
Lion with eagle wingsWings plucked, made to stand like a manBabylon
Bear raised on one sideThree ribs in its mouthMedo-Persia
Leopard with 4 wingsFour headsGreece
Terrifying beastIron teeth, 10 hornsRome
Daniel 7:3 — "And four great beasts came up from the sea, diverse one from another."
Two Perspectives:

Why 4 Heads on the Leopard?

After Alexander the Great died, his Greek empire was divided among his four generals! The prophecy predicted this split!

Fill in the Blanks:

1. The lion represented __________.

2. The leopard had __________ heads (representing Greece splitting).

3. The terrifying beast with iron teeth was __________.

4. Man sees kingdoms as glorious; Yahuah sees them as __________.

Memory Verse: Daniel 7:27

"The kingdom... shall be given to the people of the saints of the Most High."

5The 70 Weeks: Predicting Messiah!

This is the most amazing prophecy in the Bible! Daniel predicted the exact year when Messiah would come!

Daniel 9:24-25 — "Seventy weeks are determined upon your people... Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and sixty-two weeks."

Understanding "70 Weeks"

Do the Math!

457 BC + 483 years = 27 AD

What happened in 27 AD? Yahusha was baptized and began His ministry!

The word "Messiah" means "Anointed One" — Yahusha was anointed at His baptism!

AMAZING FULFILLMENT!

Decree to rebuildStarting point457 BC
Messiah appears457 BC + 483 years27 AD
Messiah "cut off"Middle of final week31 AD

Yahusha was crucified in 31 AD — exactly as predicted!

This is HUGE! This is the ONLY prophecy in the entire Bible that gives the exact timing of when Messiah would come. Daniel wrote this 500+ years before Yahusha was born!

Multiple Choice:

What does "Messiah" mean?

Fill in the Blanks:

1. 70 weeks of years = __________ years total.

2. The decree to rebuild Jerusalem was in __________ BC.

Daniel 12 talks about what will happen at the very end of history — and it's exciting!

Daniel 12:1 — "At that time Michael shall stand up, the great prince... and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was... and at that time your people shall be delivered."

END TIMES EVENTS

Daniel 12:4 — "Shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased."
Signs of the End:

These signs are happening NOW more than ever in history!

True or False:

Fill in the Blanks:

1. At the end, Michael shall __________ up.

2. Many that sleep in the __________ shall awake.

3. __________ shall be increased in the end times.
