This workbook uses the Truth Carriers Learning Method (6 Rs) to help you understand and remember what you learn.
What Is Torah? Torah means "instruction" or "teaching." It's not a list of harsh rules—it's Yahuah's loving guidebook for life! Think of it like instructions from a Father who loves you and wants to protect you.
What You Will Learn:
Sacred Names Used: Yahuah (YHWH), Elohim, Yahusha HaMashiach
Study Time: About 4-6 hours for complete workbook
Imagine getting a new video game and trying to beat the final boss on your first try. You'd fail miserably, right? That's what it's like when people try to follow ALL of Torah at once. You need to start with the basics and level up!
Here's something awesome: Yahuah says His commands are NOT too hard! Check out what the Bible says:
Don't try everything at once. Here's a suggested order:
| Step | What to Start | Why? |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Sabbath | Weekly practice — creates rhythm |
| 2 | Clean Foods | Daily application — pretty simple changes |
| 3 | Biblical Feasts | A few times a year — fun to celebrate! |
| 4 | Tzitzit | Visible reminder of who you belong to |
| 5 | Other Commands | As you're ready |

7. Why do you think some people see Torah as a burden instead of a gift?
"For this is the love of Elohim, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome."
Close this workbook. Write the suggested order for starting Torah (5 steps).
Explain to someone why Torah is a gift, not a burden.
Person I taught:
Imagine having one day every week where you're not stressed about school, work, or activities. One day to rest, spend time with family, and connect with Yahuah. That's the Sabbath!
How to find sunset times:
In Exodus 16, Yahuah gave double manna on day 6 so they could prepare. Friday is called "Preparation Day" — get everything ready BEFORE sunset!
Scripture gives only 4-5 specific things to avoid:
| Don't Do | Scripture |
|---|---|
| Regular work (your job) | Exodus 20:10 |
| Buying/selling | Nehemiah 10:31 |
| Your own business pursuits | Isaiah 58:13 |
1. Sabbath starts Friday at .
2. Isaiah 58 says to call the Sabbath a .
3. Friday is called Day.
4. The Sabbath is Saturday, not Sunday.
5. You should NOT help someone in an emergency on Sabbath.
6. What would make Sabbath a "delight" for YOU?
"If you call the Sabbath a delight... then you shall delight yourself in Yahuah."
Close this workbook. Write when Sabbath starts and ends, and 3 things to DO.
Did you know the Bible tells us what to eat? It's not about being "kosher" for tradition — Yahuah designed our bodies and knows what's best for them!
To be CLEAN, land animals must have BOTH:
| CLEAN (Eat it!) | UNCLEAN (Skip it!) |
|---|---|
| Beef, lamb, goat, deer, bison | Pig (split hoof, doesn't chew cud) |
| Rabbit (chews cud, no split hoof) | |
| Dog, cat, horse |
Must have BOTH fins AND scales:
| CLEAN | UNCLEAN |
|---|---|
| Salmon, tuna, tilapia, cod | Shrimp, crab, lobster (no scales) |
| Catfish (no true scales) |
| CLEAN | UNCLEAN |
|---|---|
| Chicken, turkey, duck | Eagle, vulture, owl |
1. Clean land animals must have split hoof AND chew .
2. Clean fish must have AND scales.
3. is usually made from pig and found in gummy candy.
4. Shrimp is clean because it lives in water.
5. Chicken is a clean bird.
6. What's one food you might need to give up? How do you feel about that?
"You shall be holy; for I am holy."
Close this workbook. Write the two requirements for clean land animals AND clean fish.
Christmas and Easter aren't in the Bible — but THESE feasts are! And they're way cooler because they point to Yahusha!
| Feast | Hebrew Name | What It Pictures |
|---|---|---|
| Passover | Pesach | Yahusha's death (the Lamb) |
| Unleavened Bread | Matzot | His sinless burial |
| Firstfruits | Bikkurim | His RESURRECTION! |
| Pentecost | Shavuot | Holy Spirit given |
| Trumpets | Yom Teruah | Yahusha's return (trumpets!) |
| Atonement | Yom Kippur | Final judgment |

"The feasts of Yahuah... these are MY feasts."
What if you had a reminder on your clothes ALL DAY to help you remember Yahuah's commands? That's exactly what tzitzit are!
Tzitzit are fringes (tassels) worn on the four corners of your garments. They include a blue thread called techelet.
Wind 7 times, knot. Wind 8 times, knot. Wind 11 times, knot. Wind 13 times, final knot.
Cool Math: 7+8 = 15 (first two letters of YHWH). 11 = last two letters. Total 39 = "YHWH is One!"
1. Tzitzit are worn on the corners of garments.
2. The blue thread is called .
3. The traditional winding pattern is 7-8-11-.
4. Yahusha wore tzitzit.
"That you may look upon it and remember all the commandments of Yahuah."
What happens when your friends don't understand? Or family members get upset? Let's talk about how to handle the hard stuff.
