ABOUT THIS WORKBOOK

What Is Torah? Torah means "instruction" or "teaching." It's not a list of harsh rules—it's Yahuah's loving guidebook for life! Think of it like instructions from a Father who loves you and wants to protect you.

What You Will Learn:

Sacred Names Used: Yahuah (YHWH), Elohim, Yahusha HaMashiach

Study Time: About 4-6 hours for complete workbook

Key Scripture: "His commandments are not burdensome." - 1 John 5:3

Lesson 1: Getting Started - One Step at a Time

Imagine getting a new video game and trying to beat the final boss on your first try. You'd fail miserably, right? That's what it's like when people try to follow ALL of Torah at once. You need to start with the basics and level up!

Deuteronomy 30:11
"For this commandment which I command you today is not too difficult for you."

Torah Is a Gift, Not a Burden!

Here's something awesome: Yahuah says His commands are NOT too hard! Check out what the Bible says:

Think About It: Why would Yahuah give us instructions that are impossible to follow? He wouldn't! He's a good Father who helps us grow step by step.

The Smart Way to Start

Don't try everything at once. Here's a suggested order:

Step What to Start Why?
1 Sabbath Weekly practice — creates rhythm
2 Clean Foods Daily application — pretty simple changes
3 Biblical Feasts A few times a year — fun to celebrate!
4 Tzitzit Visible reminder of who you belong to
5 Other Commands As you're ready
Important! About 270 of the Torah's commands apply to everyone today. Many commands were for priests, or required the Temple (which doesn't exist right now). So don't stress about ALL 613!
WARNING: Don't Be "That Guy"
Learning Torah doesn't make you better than other believers. Never look down on people who don't keep Torah yet. You're not the "Torah police." Live it out with JOY, and people will ask you about it!

Fill-in-the-Blank

1. Torah is a , not a burden.

2. Deuteronomy 30 says the commandment is not too for you.

3. The first thing to start with is the .

True or False

Lesson 2: The Sabbath - Your Weekly Reset

Imagine having one day every week where you're not stressed about school, work, or activities. One day to rest, spend time with family, and connect with Yahuah. That's the Sabbath!

Isaiah 58:13
"If you call the Sabbath a DELIGHT... then you shall delight yourself in Yahuah."

When Is the Sabbath?

Sabbath Time:
START: Friday at sunset
END: Saturday after dark (when 3 stars appear)

Tzitzit are fringes (tassels) worn on the four corners of your garments. They include a blue thread called techelet.

How to Wear Them

The Traditional Winding (7-8-11-13)

Wind 7 times, knot. Wind 8 times, knot. Wind 11 times, knot. Wind 13 times, final knot.
