This workbook distinguishes between three different things:
- Modern political Israel - A nation-state founded in 1948
- Biblical Israel - The covenant people of Yahuah
- The land promise - Yahuah's eternal covenant with Abraham
Critiquing government policies is NOT the same as hating a people. We examine facts while loving all people.

Lesson 1: Understanding the Relationship

The US-Israel relationship is the most significant military partnership in American foreign policy. Let's look at the documented facts.
Key Facts
- The US recognized Israel in 1948 - just 11 minutes after its declaration of independence
- Israel receives about $3.8 billion in US military aid annually
- Israel is the largest cumulative recipient of US military aid since World War II
Total US Aid to Israel: Between $174-317 billion (depending on calculation method)
Special Arrangements
Israel receives its military aid in a lump sum at the start of each year (unlike other countries who get monthly payments). The money is deposited in an interest-bearing Federal Reserve account.

Fourth Geneva Convention
Article 33 - Collective Punishment
"No protected person may be punished for an offence he or she has not personally committed. Collective penalties... are prohibited."
Article 49 - Settlements
"The Occupying Power shall NOT deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies."
UN Resolutions
- Resolution 242 (1967): Called for Israeli withdrawal from occupied territories
- Resolution 2334 (2016): Declared settlements a "flagrant violation under international law"
US Vetoes: The US has vetoed 45-53 UN Security Council resolutions concerning Israel since 1972 - more than any other subject.

USS Liberty (June 8, 1967)
- Israeli Air Force and Navy attacked a US Navy ship in international waters
- 34 US sailors killed, 171 wounded
- Official finding: "mistaken identity"
- Survivors dispute this conclusion - the ship was clearly marked
The 1948 Displacement (Nakba)
- 700,000-750,000 Palestinians displaced
- Half were displaced BEFORE Arab armies entered

Lesson 5: Biblical Discernment - The Critical Distinction

This is the most important lesson. We must distinguish between what Scripture says and what we've been told to believe.
Three Different Things

Romans 9:6-8
"For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children... the children of the promise are counted for the seed."
Galatians 3:28-29
"There is neither Jew nor Greek... for ye are all one in Messiah Yahusha. And if ye be Messiah's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise."
The "Bless Israel" Verse
Genesis 12:3 ("I will bless them that bless thee") was a promise to Abraham, not to a political nation founded 4,000 years later.
According to Galatians 3, Abraham's true seed are those who have faith in Messiah!
The Prophets Rebuked Israel
The prophets constantly called out Israel's sins. Were they "antisemitic"?
Isaiah 1:21-23
"How is the faithful city become an harlot! ...Thy princes are rebellious, and companions of thieves: every one loveth gifts... they judge not the fatherless, neither doth the cause of the widow come unto them."
Lesson 6: How to Think Biblically

The Yahusha Standard
Matthew 7:16, 20
"Ye shall know them by their fruits... Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them."
We are commanded to judge by fruits, not by national identity or political labels.
Questions to Consider
- Does Yahuah approve of oppression and injustice when done by "His people"?
- Did the prophets excuse Israel's sins because they were the chosen nation?
- What does Yahuah say about the widow, orphan, and stranger?
Ezekiel 22:29
"The people of the land have used oppression, and exercised robbery, and have vexed the poor and needy: yea, they have oppressed the stranger wrongfully."
