Sabbath Truth

The 7th Day is Yahuah's Holy Rest Day

Remember the Sabbath Day

The 7th day (Saturday) from sunset to sunset is Yahuah's appointed time of rest and worship.

The Fourth Commandment

Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of Yahuah thy Elohim...

"Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of Yahuah thy Elohim: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days Yahuah made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore Yahuah blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it."

Exodus 20:8-11

This is not a suggestion or a Jewish custom - it's the Fourth Commandment, written by Yahuah's own finger on stone tablets!

Which Day is the Seventh?

The Bible is crystal clear about which day is the seventh:

SUNDAY

1st Day

Roman tradition

Monday

2nd Day

Tuesday

3rd Day

Wednesday

4th Day

Thursday

5th Day

Friday

6th Day

SATURDAY

7th Day

SABBATH

Even Your Calendar Confirms It!

Look at any calendar - Saturday is the 7th day, Sunday is the 1st day. This has never changed in recorded history. The Jews have been keeping the 7th day for over 3,000 years.

"And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath: Therefore the Son of man is Master also of the sabbath."

Mark 2:27-28

From Creation to Eternity

🌍 Established at Creation

"And on the seventh day Elohim ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And Elohim blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which Elohim created and made."

Genesis 2:2-3

The Sabbath was established at creation, BEFORE there were any Jews! It's for all humanity, not just one people group.

✍️ Written in Stone

"And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of Elohim."

Exodus 31:18

πŸ”— Sign of the Covenant

"Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am Yahuah that doth sanctify you."

Exodus 31:13

♾️ Continues in Eternity

"And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith Yahuah."

Isaiah 66:23

The Sabbath will be kept in the new earth! If it was "abolished," why would it continue forever?

Yahusha Kept the Sabbath

"And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read."

Luke 4:16

"As his custom was" - Yahusha regularly kept the Sabbath. If He came to "fulfill" the law by abolishing it, why did He continue keeping it?

πŸ‘‘ Yahusha is Lord OF the Sabbath

He didn't abolish it - He's the Master of it! The Sabbath belongs to Him.

πŸ₯ He Healed on Sabbath

Showing that doing good, helping others, and ministry work are appropriate on Sabbath.

πŸ“– He Taught in Synagogues

His regular practice was Sabbath worship and teaching, not Sunday church.

⚰️ He Rested in the Tomb

Even in death, Yahusha kept the Sabbath rest (Luke 23:56).

The Apostles Kept the Sabbath

After Yahusha's resurrection, the apostles continued keeping the Sabbath:

"And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures."

Acts 17:2

"And on the sabbath we went out of the city by a river side, where prayer was wont to be made; and we sat down, and spake unto the women which resorted thither."

Acts 16:13

Key Point: The apostles had 30+ years after the cross to start "Sunday worship" if the Sabbath was changed. They never did. Paul kept the Sabbath his entire ministry.

When Does the Sabbath Begin?

"And the evening and the morning were the first day."

Genesis 1:5

Biblical days begin at evening (sunset), not midnight. This is confirmed throughout Scripture:

"In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is Yahuah's passover. And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread... from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your sabbath."

Leviticus 23:5-6, 32

⏰ Sabbath Hours

Begin: Friday at sunset (about 6 PM depending on season)

End: Saturday at sunset (when three stars are visible)

This is approximately 25 hours of rest, worship, and spiritual focus.

Even Yahusha's burial confirms this timing - they waited until after Sabbath was over to prepare spices (Mark 16:1-2).

How Sunday Worship Started

πŸ“š Historical Timeline

1st-3rd Century: Early Christians kept both Sabbath and gathered on Sunday for communion. Two different purposes.
321 AD: Emperor Constantine issued the first Sunday law: "On the venerable day of the Sun let all judges and people rest."
364 AD: Council of Laodicea officially forbid Sabbath observance and mandated Sunday worship.
Middle Ages: Roman Catholic Church fully established Sunday as "the Christian Sabbath" through tradition, not Scripture.

⚠️ Catholic Church Admits the Truth

Catholic Catechism: "The Church made the change from Saturday to Sunday... The Church made this change in the first century."

Their claim: Church authority is above Scripture and can change biblical commandments.

Our response: We follow Scripture alone, not church tradition!

"And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time."

Daniel 7:25

Common Objections Answered

"We worship on Sunday for the resurrection"

Response: Scripture never commands this. Yahusha said "remember My death" (communion), not "remember My resurrection" (Sunday worship). The Sabbath commemorates creation AND redemption.

"Any day can be the Sabbath"

Response: Yahuah specifically blessed the SEVENTH day, not "any day you choose." Can you pick any day to celebrate your birthday or anniversary?

"Sabbath was only for Jews"

Response: It was established at creation before any Jews existed. Yahusha said "the Sabbath was made for MAN" (mankind), not just Jews.

"We're not under law but grace"

Response: Do you still follow the other 9 commandments? Grace doesn't abolish law - it empowers us to keep it through love, not fear.

"Colossians 2:16 says don't judge about Sabbaths"

Response: Read the context - it's about the ceremonial sabbaths (feast days), not THE Sabbath. And it says "let no MAN judge you" - because only Yahuah can judge Sabbath observance.

πŸ’– The Heart of Sabbath

Sabbath isn't about rules - it's about relationship! It's 25 hours each week to focus on Yahuah, rest from the world's stress, and remember that He is our Creator and Redeemer.

The End-Time Test

"And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of Elohim, and have the testimony of Yahusha the Messiah."

Revelation 12:17

The final conflict will involve worship and law-keeping. Those who keep Yahuah's Sabbath (His seal) versus those who accept counterfeit worship (the mark of the beast).

βœ… The Seal of Yahuah

Saturday Sabbath worship - honoring Yahuah as Creator and keeping His commandments.

❌ The Mark of the Beast

Sunday worship enforced by law - honoring human tradition over Yahuah's command.

⚠️ Choose This Day

The Sabbath vs Sunday issue isn't just about which day - it's about authority. Will you follow Yahuah's word or human tradition? Your choice reveals who you truly worship.

"And if it seem evil unto you to serve Yahuah, choose you this day whom ye will serve... but as for me and my house, we will serve Yahuah."

Joshua 24:15

Welcome to Sabbath Keeping!

If Yahuah is calling you to return to His holy day, don't delay! The Sabbath is a gift - 52 mini-vacations with your Creator every year.

"If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of Yahuah, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words: Then shalt thou delight thyself in Yahuah..."

Isaiah 58:13-14
